Yes, when it's specified correctly. The key is choosing materials made for the outdoors rather than adapting indoor cabinetry.
How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Scotland?
It depends on size, materials and appliances, from a compact built-in grill run to a full modular kitchen with fridge, sink and storage. We don't quote from a price list. Instead we give you clear, tailored figures during a consultation once we understand your space and how you want to use it.
Do I need planning permission for an outdoor kitchen in Scotland?
In most cases, no. Outdoor kitchen structures usually fall within permitted development. If your property sits in a conservation area or a listed building, or the work involves permanent gas connections to a structure, it's worth checking, and we'll advise you on this as part of your consultation.
Can you design the kitchen and the surrounding space together?
That's our preferred approach. An outdoor kitchen works best as part of a wider scheme: shelter overhead, heating nearby, the right surfaces underfoot and dining space around it. We design the whole space so the kitchen feels built-in rather than bolted on.
